The Role: 
 
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Venture Finance Analyst to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent financial modelling skills, and a keen interest in venture capital and startup ecosystems. As a Venture Finance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in evaluating investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and supporting decision-making processes within the venture capital firm. 

 

What your Day might look like:  
·      Conduct financial analysis on potential venture capital investments, including due diligence on financial statements, market trends, and business models. 
·     Evaluate investment opportunities, prepare financial models, and assess the potential risks and returns. 
·      Collaborate with the investment team to conduct industry research and stay informed about market trends. 
·      Assist in the preparation of investment proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. 
·      Monitor the financial performance of portfolio companies and provide regular updates to the investment team. 
·      Work closely with portfolio companies to support their financial planning and strategic initiatives. 
·      Conduct valuations and financial assessments to guide investment decision-making. 
·      Keep abreast of changes in financial regulations and their potential impact on investment strategies. 

 

Skills Required: 
·      Have or are currently obtaining a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field. Master's degree or CFA designation is a plus 
·      Proven experience in financial analysis, preferably in venture capital or private equity 
·      Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in financial modelling 
·      Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information 
·      Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team 
·      Knowledge of venture capital and startup ecosystem trends 
·      Familiarity with financial software and tools used in venture finance 

 

Tools Necessary: 
·      Good working laptop/desktop 
·      Smartphone to access incoming/outgoing calls 
·      Good internet connection
